Now we are looking for a Plant Manager / Site Leader to lead our Mäntyharju plant, a key site in our growth strategy.

Your opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will combine strategic direction, operational excellence, and people leadership. The Mäntyharju plant is expanding rapidly: production capacity is growing, new production lines are being launched, and significant investments are underway.

In this role, you won’t just manage a plant—you will help shape its future.

Your role

As Plant Manager, you will have full responsibility for the Mäntyharju site. You will lead the local organization, represent the plant towards key customers, and ensure strong performance across safety, quality and financial results.

You will report to the Executive Vice President of the Engineered Solutions business unit and be a member of the Business Unit leadership team. Your work will be hands-on and close to operations, with a strong presence on site.

What you will be responsible for

Operational excellence

• Overall responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
• Leading production, capacity planning, inventory levels, and the S&OP process
• Ensuring high product quality, reliable deliveries, and excellent customer satisfaction
• Driving cost efficiency and continuous improvement
• Developing preventive maintenance and tracking NPS targets

People & culture

• Leading and developing the site leadership team
• Building organizational capabilities and future talent through succession planning
• Overseeing compensation structures and people processes
• Creating a trust-based, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with “One Exel”

Business & financial leadership

• Acting as a key contact at the customer interface
• Working closely with sales to identify and realize growth opportunities
• Leading strategic planning, budgeting, and target setting
• Full responsibility for the site’s financial performance

What we are looking for

• Relevant technical education (MSc in Engineering, BEng, or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in senior leadership roles within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Proven experience in leading a plant or operational unit
• Strong financial understanding cost structures, budgeting)
• Ability to balance people leadership with process and performance management
• Fluent Finnish and English skills
• A positive, solution-oriented, and results-driven leadership style
